How to engage with CCAC
Options for engagement range from being kept up-to-date through our mailing list, to taking action as an Actor in a specific Coalition initiative, or to becoming a full Coalition Partner requiring a higher level of engagement.
Participation in the Coalition is completely voluntary, and each Partner and Actor determines the nature of their own participation. There are no legally binding obligations between or among Partners or Actors.
When considering joining, please explore the options below and visit our Partner page on what it means to be a Partner or an Actor in the Coalition.
We encourage all who are interested to explore options for engagement, and invite you to contact the Secretariat.
Testimonials
“[The coalition] you have built among the private sector, finance, civil society, research and other institutions can help to build a new world of collaboration and high standards. The results of your actions can have an immediate impact: cleaner industries; cleaner engines and oil and gas production; cleaner recycling and waste processing; cleaner brick kilns and cookstoves; and cleaner urban air.”

Ban Ki-moon
Former United Nations Secretary-General
Inter-governmental Organization
While we must continue to aggressively reduce CO2 emissions, efforts to reduce short-lived climate pollutants like black carbon and methane can have an immediate effect on slowing warming. At the same time, such action can reap huge health, agriculture and other development benefits for the poorest and most vulnerable. Coalitions for action on SLCPs outside the UN climate convention, such as the Climate and Clean Air Coalition, help to demonstrate that success is possible and build confidence for advancing action in the negotiations.

We see the CCAC Oil and Gas Methane Partnership as a very good platform for sharing good practises on how to manage and reduce emissions. Our significant methane reduction achievement on the Norwegian Continental Shelf will form the basis for our contribution to this joint effort by partners from industry, government and civil society. This Partnership will further our ambition to remain among the most carbon efficient oil and gas producers globally.

Penang is proud to contribute to the global effort to address climate change through innovative solutions to this complex problem. Over the past few years we have been encouraging the diversion of organic waste away from the landfill and toward useful products such as compost and soil amenders. We are also encouraging waste separation at source and the establishment of zero waste communities. We are ready to lead!

Companies are always looking for ways to save fuel and reduce cost. Lack of knowledge and global standards often prevents them from implementing smart technologies and other measures. National green freight programs are a critical piece of the puzzle to make freight smarter. The CCAC Green Freight Initiative is an important step towards a more efficient and environmentally sustainable global freight sector.
