Bangladesh Brick Sector Road Map

Brick production is one of the largest emitters of greenhouse gases (GHG) and short-lived climate pollutants (SLCPs) in Bangladesh. The informal brick sector is the main contributor of this pollution. This document reviews the existing status of the brick sector in Bangladesh and proposes specific recommendations/actions to reduce pollution from the sector. It also outlines a roadmap to transition informal brick production to energy efficient manufacturing.
