Refinance Facility for Modernization of SMEs- Expansion in the Scope

The Climate and Clean Air Coalition´s (CCAC) engagement in Pakistan,  through the Policy and Advocacy Network for Asia facilitated by the  International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD), has been vital in bringing policy makers and brick kiln owners together to accelerate the sector’s conversion to a safer and more sustainable business. These discussions resulted among others in Pakistan’s decision of availing preferential interest loan to Small & Medium Enterprises for conversion of traditional kilns or establishment of new zig-zag brick kilns.
