World Environment Day 2019 to focus on clean air, climate and health
The need to address climate change and air pollution as a single and connected issue is taking the international stage. This Wednesday, June 5th, World Environment Day 2019 will shine a light on air pollution, its effects on the climate and our health, and the actions we each can take to improve our air.
The Coalition is in China this week to promote solutions that address climate and clean air objectives as we continue to rally support for our Action Programme to Address the 1.5C Challenge.
In this issue: World Environment Day events around the world; key IPCC decision that will enable further efforts to integrate climate and clean air action; Climate and Clean Air Coalition partners responding to the 1.5C Challenge; new initiative to amplify emission reductions through energy efficiency in cooling appliances

World Environment Day 2019 to focus on air pollution
World Environment Day 2019 invites us to consider how we can change our lives to reduce the amount of air pollution we produce. Follow events happening around the world live.
The IPCC will develop a methodology that will enable countries to achieve integrated emission inventories for short-lived climate forcers (SLCFs) like black carbon and other air pollutants and long-lived greenhouse gases (GHGs).
