The Climate and Clean Air Coalition is involved in many events during the Climate Conference: We are co-organizing events under the Marrakech Partnership Global Climate Action agenda (MPGCA), will participate in high-level dialogues, and speak at the Climate Summit of Local and Regional Leaders. Our governance meetings - the High Level Assembly, Working Group and Steering Committee - will also meet on the margins of COP23.

Low-carbon livestock: Moving forward
Agriculture Day event, co-organised by the CCAC
This event will explore initiatives on the ground that reduce emissions from livestock production, sustain livelihoods in a changing climate, and provide for human nutrition. It will focus on various production systems and regions, as well as forward-looking options for policy-makers.

Opportunities for enhancing NDC ambition with short-lived climate pollutants
Roundtable discussion, co-organised by the CCAC
The development of enhanced NDCs presents a valuable opportunity to highlight the critical role of SLCPs and pursue actions to reduce them, as well as generating important economic and development benefits. The roundtable discussion will focus on identifying opportunities and articulating options for incorporating SLCPs in enhanced NDCs.

Agriculture Day event, co-organised by the CCAC
This event will showcase successful approaches and know-how to scale up Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) with a specific emphasis on enabling partnerships between Parties and non-Party stakeholders. It discusses progress and challenges in enhancing impacts for farmers, women, youth and vulnerable groups.

Pathways and strategies to keep warming well below 2⁰C
Side event co-organised by the CCAC
This event will outline the opportunities and multiple benefits that arise from quick action to reduce short-lived climate pollutants. A climate pathway that moves to immediately reduce both near and long-term warming benefits health, energy efficiency, food security, and sustainable development and can prevent up 0.6⁰C by mid-century.

By accounting for the commitments and actions of local and regional governments and working alongside them, nations will be better positioned to not only meet their goals but also raise the bar on what they aim to accomplish.

The roundtable explores challenges and opportunities in the forest and agricultural sectors.
