Online event

The Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction, as well as its members WBCSD, World Green Building Council, ADEME, and LafargeHolcim,  will host an interactive webinar exploring science-based targets and their implications for climate change action.

Science-based targets provide companies with a clearly defined pathway aligned with the Paris Agreement goals by specifying how much and how quickly they need to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions.

More than 550 companies with trillions of dollars in revenue, including several property, construction, cement and steel firms have now joined the Science Based Targets initiative, aligning their emission reductions with the Paris Agreement.

The webinar will answer your questions like: How do Science-Based Targets advance a zero-emission, efficient, and resilient buildings and construction sector? What is the private sector’s role in aligning ambition and action along the whole value chain to achieve future-proof buildings? How can partnership between government and companies accelerate action on Paris Agreement targets? What are GlobalABC members’ contributions to and activities in science-based targets?

*           Luca De Giovanetti, Manager, Science-based Targets, WBCSD
