The Philippines joined the Coalition as part of its efforts to scale up activities to address near-term climate change and air pollution through short-lived climate pollutant (SLCP) mitigation. The main sectors of interest for reducing SLCP emissions are heavy duty vehicles and engines and municipal solid waste.
