New York City is taking bold action through its OneNYC 2050 Plan to mitigate emissions from its staggering number of nearly 1 million buildings – with a focus on retrofitting existing buildings to make them more energy efficient and powering them with renewable energy.
To celebrate World Environment Day on 5 June 2019, UN Environment, Climate and Clean Air Coalition and World Green Building Council hosted this one hour webinar that provides a global and local view on the policy context for green building retrofits from the World Green Building Council and Global Alliance for Building and Construction; further background on the health and climate benefits from RESET; and two case studies from New York City - one from the perspective of the designer (enVerid) and one from the perspective of the building occupier (MMoser).
