Although there is a willingness to address short-lived climate pollutants, national governments require quantitative information about the issues to inform and prioritise their actions. Most countries do not have an adequate understanding of their national short-lived climate pollutant issues, the magnitude of emissions and the mitigation actions available to them. Data and action are often spread amongst many departments and institutions, thus hampering focused, coordinated planning and the large-scale implementation of solutions.
