On September 9-11th, 2019, the UNFCCC secretariat, Climate and Clean Air Coalition, and the Clean Cooking Alliance hosted a workshop on climate action and clean cooking co-benefits, focusing on balancing practical implementation and science-based methodologies for project monitoring, reporting, and verification. The objective of the workshop was to increase the effectiveness of clean cooking programs as sustainable climate action that realize quantifiable co-benefits on the environment and air pollution.
