Informe de la misión en Uruguay - Ladrilleras en Pando, Florida y Rivera

Within the framework of PAGE Uruguay, the CCAC supported the participation of experts in the first international event on Cleaner Production and Formalization of Brick Production Activities held in Pando, Uruguay in May 2019, and on field visits to the departments of Pando, Florida and Rivera. Experts from key CCAC implementing institutions working with the brick sector, including from the Environmental Business Corporation (CAEM), the Centre for Human Rights and Environment (CEDHA), the National Institute of Technology (INT) of Brazil. and from MINTEC CERAMIC Colombia participated. These experts participated to lend their expertise in the areas of public policy, in the use of raw material for brick production and on cleaner and more efficient kiln technologies and fuel use.

The following report was produced by INT and provides an overview of the expert assistance in the event and key recommendations on energy efficient brick production technologies.
