This site displays analyses from the Global Methane Assessment: Benefits and Costs of Mitigating Methane Emissions, which provides an in-depth analysis of opportunities to reduce methane emissions from all sectors and regions as well as the associated costs and the benefits to human health, crops and the economy.
Users of this site can either examine the mitigation potential within specific socio-economic sectors or enter the potential methane emissions reductions (or increases) associated with any action of interest, ranging from individual projects to national or international action plans. The tool will provide quantitative values for multiple impacts of those emissions reductions using the mean of the models that participated in the Assessment.
