HFC emissions are expected to decline by more than 60% between 2015 and 2030. The impacts of a 40% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions in the EU in 2030 have been assessed as well. The suggest that the 40% reduction will save 5.7 million life years in 2030. The monetary benefits due to improved health (mortality only) are estimated at €6.6 to 15.1 €billion per year. The costs of controlling air pollution are expected to be €2 billion lower in 2030.
