Manure Kiosk News Digest #4

In this fourth edition of the news digest, the Manure Knowledge Kiosk reported that governments take action, as experts from the Argentinian gov. discussed the necessary activities to systematize the exchange of best practices for manure management in intensive livestock systems in a kick-off meeting in Buenos Aires, while Bangladesh’ Ministry of Finance endorsed the agreement of a project titled “Development of National Policy and Action Plan for Integrated Manure Management in Livestock System”. Also revealed are an IPCC estimate that total nitrogen losses from manure range from 10 to almost 100%, and a solution to the lack of bio-digester distribution networks to reduce the amount of surplus gas that is too often discharged into the air or flared.
