Study to develop a pilot business model in artisan brick kilns, for reduce emissions of Short-lived Climate Pollutants (CCVC) and Gases from Greenhouse Effect (GHG) and improve the quality of life of key stakeholders

Within the framework of the collaboration agreement that Mexico signed in 2015 with the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), through the United Nations the Clean Air and Climate Commission (CACC), to carry out the related market study and now a business model for the mitigation of black carbon and other pollutants for the artisanal brick industry, A final report was drawn up from which this executive report is derived.

General purpose of the study was develop a business model for a specific municipality or group of municipalities selected from the Megalopolis, Jalisco or Guanajuato that includes the entire chain of production and allows exploring alternatives and opportunities for private investment in order to modernize the traditional sector of brick production , through which it contributes to the reduction of emissions of the SLCP, the optimization of the productivity and improvement of the economic, social and health conditions of the population.
