CCAC in partnership with U4E endeavours to reduce black carbon emissions by transitioning to alternative clean and sustainable lighting through policy support and advocacy in high-impact developing countries.

One pilot country in Africa, Nigeria, will see a set of complementary support activities by CCAC, UNEP and UNDP, with the support of the Ministry of Environment, including a study on kerosene subsidies and an awareness raising campaign, to demonstrate the transition.

This presentation was given at the kick-off workshop in Abuja on 6 March 2017.
