The meeting is organized by the Department of Energy, Botswana with support from UN Environment. The objective is to disseminate the findings of a study on vehicle fuel economy in Botswana and develop policy recommendations to promote import of fuel efficient vehicles. South Africa, Mauritius and Namibia that have implemented cleaner vehicle policies (including CO2 tax on vehicle imports) will attend the workshop.
