About UNEA
The second session of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-2) will take place at UNEP headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya, under the overarching theme of Delivering on the environmental dimension of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The Assembly, which represents the world’s highest-level decision-making body on the environment, will culminate in resolutions and a global call to action to address the critical environmental challenges facing the world today.
The CCAC will attend to discuss the important relationship between Air Quality, Human Health and Climate Change. The CCAC will participate in the following events:
- May 19, 17:00- 19:00, Science Policy Forum, Session 4: Climate Change, Air Quality, Sand & Dust Storms. (Location: Conference Room 1)
- May 23, 13:00 - 14:30, Delivering on the Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Agreement through Clean Cooking. (Location: Conference Room 10)
- May 23, 15:30 - 16:45, National and city action to achieve health benefits from improving air quality (Location: Sustainable Innovation Expo)
- May 24, 13:00 - 14:00, Press Conference: Actions on Air Quality. (Location: Press center)
- May 24, 16:15 - 17:30, CCAC Journalist Roundtable. (Location: Classroom 6)
- May 26, 16:00 - 17:00, Green room Event: Detoxify: Mitigating Black Carbon and other Pollutants from Brick Production. Multiple-benefits for healthy people and climate.
