Integrating Clean Air and Climate Actions in Cities: Lessons Learned on Co-benefits in Asia

Online event

Integrating air pollution and climate change in a single set of policies or actions could save cities time and money on two of their most pressing problems. Many cities have become more aware of the potential of integrated solutions to deliver clean air, a stable climate, and improved health while saving time and money. But awareness of these co-benefits has not always translated into actions capable of achieving them.

Over the past two years, Clean Air Asia, ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability East Asia (ICLEI East Asia) and the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) have worked on a project funded by the Climate and Clean Air Coalition, Ministry of Environment, Japan, and Seoul Metropolitan Government to develop a demand-driven training curriculum and carry out capacity building activities focusing on the three above mentioned areas in different parts of Asia. The purpose of this one-hour webinar is to share the training curriculum and experiences of cities in Asia with its development and use. The webinar will also explore opportunities for spreading the application of co-benefits to other cities in Asia and globally.
