This document developped with the support of the SNAP initiative of the CCAC (Supporting National Action and Planning on Short-Lived Climate Pollutants (SLCPs) introduces the issue and explains the nature of the SLCP issue, the national planning process, and describes how the analysis has resulted in the identification of relevant mitigation measures that could be introduced or augmented in Mexico to reduce black carbon and methane emissions, and the relevant pathways for implementation. The document concludes with suggestion for next steps that could be taken to promote the identified measures for implementation through existing government programs, new national initiatives and international cooperation.
