About

The Africompost project has developed financially-viable organic waste composting units in the African cities Lome (Togo), Mahajanga and Antananarivo (Madagascar), Dschang (Cameroon), and Bouake (Ivory Coast). The first phase of the project has led to measurable reductions of greenhouse gases (27,000 tonnes CO2 equivalent), contributed to the development of local agriculture, and created jobs for disadvantaged populations.
