About

Kenya’s “Low-Emission and Climate Resilient Dairy Development” (LECRDD) project is a model for linking science-based technical improvements with business to reduce methane emissions from the dairy sector. It targets smallholders and supports women in advisory services, credit and business schemes. The project shows how low-emission agriculture can support climate change mitigation while benefitting development and economic growth. This work has potential to be scaled up and is widely applicable throughout East Africa.
