7th CCAC High Level Assembly

COP21 Venue: Meeting Room 9 (Blue Zone), 15:00 - 17:00, December 8

[Please note this meeting is by invitation only]

The seventh High Level Assembly of the Climate and Clean Air Coalition to Reduce Short-Lived Climate Pollutants (CCAC) will take place on 8 December, 2015 in Paris on the margins of twenty-first Conference of Parties (COP21) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The meeting will be held in the Meeting room 9 (Blue Zone) from 15:00 to 17:00.

At the Assembly, the Coalition will launch its 5-Year Strategy, geared towards widespread adoption and implementation of policies, regulations and practices to substantially reduce emissions of black carbon, methane, tropospheric ozone and HFCs -- the so called short-lived climate pollutants (SLCPs). The Coalition will underscore the sound scientific basis of its work, which complements the urgent need to mitigate carbon dioxide to help the world stay within the 2 degrees Celsius goal, while also improving air quality and generating other multiple benefits.  At the Assembly, each country, company and organisation in the partnership will share recent success and signal the role they intend to play in reducing SLCPs at home, and globally, over the next 5 years.
