Professor Veerabhadran Ramanathan, researcher at Scripp's Institution of Oceanography at the University of California and member of the Coalition's Scientific Advisory Panel, will provide a public lecture as awardee of the 2018 Bert Bolin Lecture on Climate Research award.

Professor Ramanathan will present his work on “bending the curve” on climate change using the most efficient ways to minimize global temperature increase due to emissions of greenhouse agents. This effort includes quickly mitigating short-lived climate pollutants, such as methane and black carbon, alongside carbon dioxide to significantly reduce global warming and avoid climate disruptions as well as damage to public health and ecosystems.

A live feed of Professor Ramanathan's lecture will be available below on Monday, 21 May at 14:00 CEST.
