Drawing on insights from recent analysis published by the IEA, World Bank, African Commission and the UN, the invited speakers will explore different alternatives to achieve transformation towards clean cooking including eCooking (ideally powered by renewable electricity). Bringing together technical experts and country representatives, the session will examine the elements needed to accelerate adoption of clean cooking, share practical insights from real-world case studies, and discuss how coordinated action across sectors can unlock major health, climate, and economic benefits for households and communities across Africa. This is the first in a series of technical and policy dialogues focused on scaling up access to low-carbon Tier 4+ clean cooking technologies in Africa.
