Cool Solutions: Leveraging the Cooling Sector in NDC Implementation

-
(Paris)
Virtual

As countries prepare to enhance their NDCs under the Paris Agreement, addressing non-CO₂ pollutants—including methane, black carbon, hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), and N₂O—is essential for enhancing ambition. Clear goals and ambitious measures to reduce non-CO₂ pollutants can achieve immediate climate benefits while also improving air quality, public health, and sustainable development. Drawing from the CCAC’s Guidance for Including Non-CO₂ Pollutants in NDCs, this series offers actionable insights on how to integrate mitigation and adaptation strategies in NDCs that are ambitious, bankable, and measurable.

The webinar series is designed to equip relevant government ministries, national consultants, and implementing partners with practical knowledge, tools, and collaborative approaches to raise climate ambition and accelerate sector-specific action. Through real-world case studies, technical resources, and peer learning, participants will strengthen their capacity to evaluate, design, and implement SLCP-related measures. Key topics include MRV systems, policy planning, and financing pathways, all aimed at unlocking the full potential of SLCP mitigation as part of a comprehensive climate strategy.
