EMW welcomes over 400 professionals from the microfinance industry each year from several dozen countries to share ideas, innovation and best practice. Yekbun Gurgoz of the Climate and Clean Air Coalitin will be moderating the panel, Financing sustainable energy: Traditional solar vs. PayGo. This session will explore successful models of providing off-grid energy to underserved populations and indtroduce methodologies to assess energy needs and track the progress of energy access through green microfinance programs. Learning outcomes will be the success factors and proven business models for distributed, individual energy services, and the introduction of toolkits to support in engaging energy finance.
