G20 Environment and Climate Sustainability Working Group: Air Quality Management Webinar

On behalf of South Africa’s G20 Presidency, it is our pleasure to invite you to the G20 Environment and Climate Sustainability Working Group (ECSWG)  Air Quality Management Webinar to facilitate further engagements on the G20 Technical Paper titled “Identifying and Implementing Effective Air Quality Policies” .

The webinar aims to achieve the following outcomes:

• Information sharing and collaboration: Facilitate knowledge exchange between G20 Working Groups and aligned initiatives to enhance collaboration and lessons-learning.
   
• Set a strategic foundation: Establish understanding of the four strategic key focus areas that the South African Presidency has prioritised - transboundary nature of air pollution, access to monitoring and data, capacity gaps, and funding while illustrating how these have been successfully addressed in a variety of contexts. 
   
• Stakeholder feedback and validation: Gather feedback on the strategic framework and level of ambition from diverse continental and international stakeholders.
   
• Awareness raising and engagement: Generate broad awareness of impacts of air pollution among key stakeholders while building interest for collaboration
