The Coalition is organising side events on Agriculture and Waste and will be speaking at the Marrakech Partnership Global Climate Action agenda (MPGCA) Human Settlements high-level event.  Find all information you need to attend here:

14:00-15:15 | Finding ways to achieve sustainable food production without growing greenhouse gas emissions - Activities of the GRA

Side event, with speakers from the CCAC

This side event will introduce to participants: (1) an overview of the GRA, (2) the international, collaborative projects of the GRA, and (3) the GRA activities which support capability building in developing countries. By exchanging views among participants we will also raise awareness of the importance of the GRA’s aim to bring countries together to find ways to achieve sustainable food production without growing greenhouse gas emissions.

The event will present solutions that will improve air quality and limit near-term climate change in cities, to address the health effects of climate and air pollution.

The purpose of the session is to solidify consensus on the importance of catalyzing local climate action in waste management and strengthen the focus on empowering local governments as well as ensuring vertical integration with national governments to accelerate climate actions and improve waste management.
