Opportunities to Address Tropospheric Ozone Alongside PM2.5 in Asia

Asia is a global hotspot for tropospheric ozone with the region experiencing the most significant health burdens globally. In most countries, the health impacts of tropospheric ozone are less significant than those caused by PM2.5, but tropospheric ozone's impacts are increasing with increased global temperatures, and these impacts will remain as more countries begin to have success in reducing PM2.5.

It is the air pollution challenge lurking around the corner. This roundtable conversation will seek to understand existing efforts in the region to tackle tropospheric ozone nationally and regionally and unearth potential synergies that can be pursued alongside efforts to address PM2.5. The objective of the event is to share country and regional experiences to tackle tropospheric ozone and identify opportunities for increased efforts on this topic in the region.
