Organic waste management and valorisation have gained increasing attention across Latin America and the Caribbean as countries seek effective solutions to reduce methane emissions from the waste sector and advance circular economy approaches.

This webinar will explore the role of Black Soldier Fly (BSF) technology as part of an integrated organic waste management system, highlighting its potential to transform organic waste into valuable products while contributing to climate change mitigation. Participants will gain insights into BSF technology, enabling policy frameworks, business models, and practical implementation experiences from projects in Paraguay and Peru. The webinar is organized by the Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
