CCAC Short-Lived Climate Pollutants Technical Consultant (for Brazil)The SLCP Technical Consultant will support the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change and the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) with technical inputs for the development of the National SLCP Plan. Responsibilities include: Working with SEI to develop necessary technical inputs to the National Short-Lived Climate Pollutant Action Plan, including an SLCP emission inventory and mitigation assessment, and implementation pathways for priority mitigation measures Collecting necessary data needed to develop SLCP mitigation assessment Supporting the development of system for tracking progress on SLCPs, Documenting and disseminating technical inputs to National SLCP Plan, including contributions to training sessions to transfer project results to relevant organisations Providing regular updates to Ministry of Environment and Climate Change on the development of the National SLCP Plan Ensuring National SLCP Plan is developed in way that meets expectations of Ministry of Environment and Climate Change and can be endorsed at high political level. CCAC International SLCP Expert for Iraq’s NDC 3.0The CCAC is seeking an International SLCP expert to strengthen capacity of Iraqi government entities to identify opportunities for enhancing short-lived climate pollutant (SLCP) including methane, black carbon, HFCs and tropospheric ozone action, ahead of the 2025 Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) update. The CCAC International SLCP Expert will be responsible for supporting the Government of Iraq with the inclusion of priority SLCP, including methane, mitigation actions and/or targets in its revised NDC by 2025 (NDC 3.0), enhancing engagement and capability of mitigation sectors in Climate Policy with a Focus on SLCP Mitigation, including methane, and supporting the Government of Iraq build a robust platform to support NDC developers during updates and implementation phases. Responsibilities include:Creating a work plan concerted with the Ministry of Environment, other line ministries and other entities supporting Iraq, to support the inclusion of SLCPs, including methane, into the NDC 3.0 framework of Iraq.Drafting a report on progress which includes progress to date on national SLCP policy, planning, and implementation, the gaps and actions needed to enhance the updated NDC with priority SLCP measures, including methane, and a draft of NDC text (SLCPs part).Providing a comprehensive capacity building program to support Iraq’s efforts to integrate SLCPs in their NDC 3.0 and their eventual implementation.
