CCAC National SLCP Expert for Bhutan’s NDC 3.0The CCAC National SLCP Expert will be responsible for: Supporting the Government of Bhutan to integrate management of Short-Lived Climate Pollutants (SLCPs) into its Third Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC 3.0) by September 2025, with a focus on key emitting sectors.​ - ​​Developing a stakeholder engagement plan for integrating management of SLCPs in NDC 3.0 and other relevant national strategies and plans.In coordination with the International SLCP Expert, develop the analytical, policy, and institutional foundation necessary for SLCP planning, including emissions inventories, mitigation assessments, and co-benefits analysis.​​​In coordination with the international SLCP expert, identify sector-specific entry points for mitigation, develop draft measures accordingly, and validate these proposed interventions through a series of stakeholder consultations.​​​​Strengthening institutional and technical capacities through stakeholder engagement, training, and awareness-building activities to ensure alignment with national development priorities. Coordination with ongoing NDC development activities (including update of low emission development strategies) to inform and update on the process of this consultancy, and to ensure no duplication of efforts and alignment of outcomes/objectives. Apply here.CCAC International SLCP Expert for Bhutan’s NDC 3.0The CCAC International SLCP Expert will be responsible for: Developing the analytical, policy, and institutional foundation necessary for SLCP planning, including emissions inventories, mitigation assessments, and co-benefits analysis, in close coordination with the National SLCP Expert, and ensuring the application of international best practices.Delivering implementation pathways and policy recommendations that enable the integration of SLCP actions into Bhutan’s NDC​ by September 2025​, as well as other relevant national strategies and plans, in close coordination with the National SLCP Expert, and ensuring the application of international best practices.​Provide the global analytical framework and technical tools for designing implementation pathways and policy recommendations, including international case studies, sectoral benchmarks, and modeling support.​​​​Establishing a monitoring and reporting framework consistent with the Enhanced Transparency Framework (ETF) of the Paris Agreement to track progress on SLCP mitigation, in close coordination with the National SLCP Expert, and ensuring the application of international best practices.​Apply here.
