Consultancy - CCAC National Project Coordinator for Rwanda

This will include integrated SLCP assessments and rapid implementation of actions that reduce SLCPs at the national level. The expert will also assist in strengthening the long-term institutional and technical capacity dedicated to supporting key mitigation measures that contribute to reducing emissions from these high impact sectors and political and institutional backing for the SLCP mitigation strategy and national methane roadmap.

The CCAC is therefore seeking a National Project Coordinator for Rwanda to strengthen the capacity of REMA to coordinate national SLCP planning, policy, and implementation efforts aligned with NDC implementation.

The CCAC National Project Coordinator will work in close collaboration with the CCAC Secretariat team and focal point at REMA to strengthen buy-in across the government, and to advance implementation, financing, and monitoring of a SLCP mitigation plan/strategy. The CCAC National Project Coordinator will also be responsible for coordinating the implementation of CCAC projects in Rwanda and will liaise with implementing partners to enhance awareness on SLCPs.

The expert will also foster inter-ministerial collaboration across governments and will engage important stakeholders at the national level to effectively integrate SLCPs into national planning and to support implementation strategies.
