Job Opening - CCAC National Agriculture Expert for Fiji

The CCAC National Agriculture Expert for Fiji will be responsible for providing support to the CCAC Focal Point at the Climate Change Division of the Office of the Prime Minister to ensure that activities aimed at the short-lived climate pollutants reduction in the agriculture sector are completed within timeline and in line with Fiji’s needs and priorities.

The CCAC National Agriculture Expert will be based at the Climate Change Division of the Office of the Prime Minister on a full-time basis. All deliverables are to be validated by the CCAC Focal Point at the Climate Change Division of the Office of the Prime Minister.

S/he will work in close collaboration with the CCAC Secretariat team and Focal Points at the Climate Change Division of the Office of the Prime Minister to coordinate the implementation of the activities aimed at the short-lived climate pollutants reduction in the agriculture sector.

The list of the activities consists of but not limited to: 

  • Support inclusion of the agriculture sector in next Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) update (2025) for Fiji. 
  • Support to implementation of the agricultural component of Fiji CBIT project. 
  • Support to the ACIAR project implementation.
  • Support trainings for data collection in the agriculture sector.
  • Support Capability Building Programme for Fiji's Agriculture Sector.
  • Support other projects under CCAC for Fiji.
  • Support developing project proposals in the agriculture sector.
