A new video looks at how the CCAC is working with oil and gas companies through its Oil and Gas Methane Partnership (OGMP) to reduce methane emissions from oil and gas production. Philip Swanson, CCAC Oil and Gas Initiative Coordinator, outlines the rationale behind action by the sector and where the OGMP is looking to reduce emissions. The video was first shown at the Oil and Gas side event at COP21. Special cameras are needed to detect methane emissions and the CCAC worked closely with FLIR to obtain the images shown in this video. The video is a co-production between FLIR and the CCAC.
