Arctic Countries commit to reduce black carbon emissions by as much as a third

The world's first collective commitment to reduce black carbon (or soot) emissions was made by the eight-nation Arctic Council.  Countries have committed limit emissions between 25 and 33 percent below 2013 levels by 2025 in a bid to slow Arctic warming.



Coalition scientists: Reducing near-term warming benefits sustainable development

An article released in the journal 'Science' said governments should commit to a near-term climate goal, which would help achieve global sustainable development goals and climate objectives over the next 25 years.

New study quantifies impacts of excess nitrogen oxide emissions from diesel vehicles

A study published in Nature examined 11 major vehicle markets representing more than 80% of new diesel vehicle sales in 2015 and found that those vehicles emitted 13.1 million tons of NOx under real-world driving conditions.
