Colombia's national policy on climate change

The video (in spanish) unveils Colombia's National Climate Change Policy launched in July 2017. Climate change management will be incorporated into the public and private decision making process.The policy will expand existing programs which address the risks of climate change. These include disaster management plans, financial protection plans in case of disasters, and strategies to reduce emissions. There are 23 regional plans for climate change, while all state capitals have included climate change on their development plans.  Colombia has committed to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 20% by 2030, while another 10% cut could be achieved with international support, according to the ministry.
