Measures To achieve its objective, this legislation introduces the following measures: People with log burners and open fires can still use them, but will be required to buy cleaner alternative fuels such as dry wood and manufactured solid fuels which produce less smoke; Restrictions on the sale of small volumes of house coal and wet wood; Strengthened regulation on manufactured solid fuel emissions; and A new certification scheme.
