Nigeria - Implement MRV for SLCPs in key sectors

Rationale

The aim of this project is to strengthen the institutional capacity of Nigeria’s Ministry of Environment to conduct monitoring, reporting and verification (MRV) of short-lived climate pollutants (SLCPs) in key emitting sectors, building on existing and planned national monitoring, reporting and verification (MRV) frameworks and guidelines (for example, ICAT and Stockholm Environment Institute). This project will compliment current CCAC-funded work to assess SLCP emission reductions from the implementation of climate change mitigation projects included in Nigeria’s climate change monitoring system (Nigeria Climate Registry).

More information on Nigeria's involvement in the CCAC is available on their Partner Page.
