Our no-cost Expert Assistance service connects governments to an extensive network of professionals for consultation and advice on short-lived climate pollution issues and policies. Our experts are available to provide short-term assistance through activities such as reviewing draft strategies, analyzing measures or analytical approaches, compiling data and other information, sharing best practice, and facilitating exchanges with peers. 

Who can apply

We accept requests from policymakers and civil servants working to reduce black carbon, methane and HFCs in specific sectors or as part of overall mitigation planning and implementation. Eligible applicants include: 

  • National government agencies or initiatives 
  • Subnational, local and municipal governments
  • Regional Economic Integration Organisations
