Vietnam – Develop an MRV framework to track Kigali Amendment Commitments

This project responds to a request made by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to strengthen the regulatory system of the cooling sector in Vietnam, and advance commitments under the Kigali Amendment. Vietnam is seeking to strengthen regulation of HFC emissions by introducing the registration of refrigerant users and tracking the domestic flow of refrigerants. As of now, the development of a concrete institutional framework is still at its initial stage.

What we're doing

Through the proposed outputs and activities, the project should achieve the following by its completion:

• The Government of Vietnam endorses the recommendations for improved monitoring, reporting, and verification framework for HFCs.
