The research project highlighted common sources and impacts of workplace air pollution in Southeast Asia, such as street food vendors' exposure to grilling emissions. Regional cooperation is essential for sharing solutions, including technological measures, knowledge on addressing occupational air pollution, and assessments of policy effectiveness. The project emphasizes the need for increased and transparent data on workplace air pollution to inform and protect both employers and employees, and suggests that economic growth and air pollution control can be reconciled through sustainable development, enhancing resilience, health, gender equality, and meeting Sustainable Development Goals.
