Ambient air quality data processing and reporting guide

This short guide on data quality management looks at how cities can process and validate air quality data to ensure its accuracy and precision. It has been designed to support reporting requirements for C40 member cities but will be more widely applicable.

The guide focuses on:

• Quality control: Data validation (such as checking for outliers) and assessment of data completeness.
• Calculation of summary measures (such as annual mean values for key air pollutants).

The guide is accompanied by two worksheets:
