Particle mass, organic and black carbon, and optical properties of particles are measured. Gas species, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, and sulphur dioxide are also measured. The gas emissions are used to determine the global warming potential from brick kilns and to calculate particle emission factors using mass balance of the fuel carbon. Results can be reported as normalized concentrations, emission factors, emissions rates, or emission ratios.
