Comparable and reliable emission inventories are essential when aiming for efficient strategies and policies for reduced emissions. The overall objective of this project is to improve the Nordic emission inventories of SLCPs. This report presents the results from the second phase of the project, emission measurements of SLCP and particulate matter from residential wood combustion. The measurements were done on residential biomass combustion appliances representative for the Nordic countries, covering elemental carbon (EC), organic carbon (OC), particulate matter (PM2.5), methane (CH4) and non-methane volatile organic compounds (NMVOC). Emission factors were developed for standard combustion conditions, as well as for “bad” combustion conditions.
