Global Stocktake 2: Strengthening Non-CO₂ Climate Action

This Board-approved briefing is a thought starter and practical resource for CCAC country and non-state partners considering opportunities to strengthen the inclusion of non-CO₂ climate pollutants throughout the second Global Stocktake (GST2) process.

It presents a menu of possible elements that partners may wish to draw from, adapt or build on through GST2 submissions, technical dialogues and negotiations, including opportunities to strengthen political ambition, accelerate implementation across major emitting sectors, integrate non-CO₂ action into NDCs and Biennial Transparency Reports, and strengthen finance, investment, transparency and accountability.
