To set the way forward in achieving the vision for cleaner air, Clean Air Asia led the development of the Guidance Framework for Better Air Quality in Asian Cities (Guidance Framework) in 2014 to address the needs and challenges in the region. It aims to provide a recognized guidance on improving urban air quality and is organized around priority areas of concern in the region, which were translated into key guidance areas with roadmaps on how to progress in a step by step manner. This voluntary, non-binding document consists of seven individually published chapters covering each of the Guidance Areas. Policy and decision makers in Asia, as well as other relevant stakeholders, can use one or a combination of the Guidance Framework chapters to develop local roadmaps or action plans depending on their priority areas of concern.
