This study conducted a comprehensive literature review across various databases to gather information on respirable particles (PM10 and PM2.5), including their sources, levels (μg/m3), and monitoring practices in major Latin American cities. The findings aim to provide a clear understanding of current particulate matter issues in these urban areas, offering valuable insights for policy development and programs aimed at enhancing air quality control and improvement efforts throughout Latin America.
