Lima: Evaluation of Respira Limpio Vehicle Emission Testing Campaign

This report summarizes evidence of the air quality, health and economic benefits from the Respira Limpio vehicular emission testing campaign in Metropolitan Lima, Peru. By implementing the campaign to identify vehicles with high emissions that may need repairs and promote compliance with the city's maximum permissible limits for tailpipe emissions, the analysis show improvements in air quality in Lima, resulting in health and economic savings. Findings from this analysis can be used to support the city's planning, implementation, and communication campaign of such an intervention.
